Almost done. This photograph distorted the yellow quite a bit, it's actually a little more orangey yellow, not so lemon yellow.

I learned a lot from this piece. I spent much, much, much more time looking than painting. Now if I could just think and paint faster. : )

studio cat

Because every studio needs a cat. So that you can pick hairs out of your paint and off your canvas every five minutes. It's part of the process.

new stuff on the easel

Starting a larger chicken piece (24" x 36"). Glad to be getting to larger pieces again. These 6x6's and 8x10 exhaust me more than the larger pieces. Lot of decisions to make with this piece.

2 Hens flying the coop

These 2 paintings are on their way to the chicken gallery, The Funky Chicken. This hen hangs out on White Street by the Key West Cakes bakery. Probably trying to score some of those amazing cupcakes.

Ben Franklin's daily calendar

I kind of like this schedule. A 6 hour workday. The 5 am wake up thing might be a bit of a challenge, though. 7 hours of sleep and  a 2 hours lunch break. That would so work for me. I think Benny boy was on to something. However, upon reading a bit more on his daily regimen and task lists I think the man was completely OCD.
