Summer Shadows

This was a quick, fun one and that was a nice welcome back to painting after that too-long break. Click here to bid on Daily Paint Works.

on the easel...

Another long break from painting (over a month, feels like much longer). Glad to be back in the studio. Here's what's on the easel. Starting another concrete block fence painting and also my submission for The Paint it White Challenge on DPW.

Daily Paintworks Challenge - Blue Vase 8" x 9" oil on wood

I made this tiny vase years ago. It sits in my studio and is filled with seeds I find on my walks through Key West. I'm not used to trying to finish a painting in one sitting but I'm working on painting more quickly and using more paint. It's definitely looser than what I'm comfortable with, but comfort means progress isn't happening, in my opinion.

Back at it again after a few weeks away from the easel. Work and a short vacation got in the way. It's good to be back. Here's a "6 x 6" piece I completed for a Daily Paint Works Challenge. If interested in purchasing just visit my Etsy store.

Daily Painting Challenge

Here's a small 6" x 6" painting I did for the daily paintworks challenge. Not something I'd normally paint but it was fun. Available for sale on Etsy.
